using the appliance

1

Wash the fruit and/or vegetables and cut them into pieces that fit into the feed tube. (Fig. 8)

Press the on/off button to switch on the appliance. (Fig. 9)

This appliance only functions if all parts have been properly mounted and the lid has been properly

locked in place with the latches.

Put the pre-cut pieces of ingredients into the feed tube and gently press them towards the

rotating sieve with the pusher (Fig. 10).

Do not exert too much pressure on the pusher; this could affect the quality of the end result and it

could even cause the sieve to come to a halt.
Never insert your fingers or an object into the feed tube.
After you have processed all ingredients and the flow of juice into the juice cup or glass has stopped,

switch off the appliance and wait until the sieve has stopped rotating.
Do not let the appliance run for more than two minutes without interruption. If you have not

finished extracting juice, switch off the appliance and allow it to cool down for two minutes

before you continue.

(Type HR181 only) The integrated foam separator in the juice cup lid enables you to pour a

nice cup of fresh juice without a layer of foam on top (Fig. 11).

Cleaning

The appliance is easier to clean if you do so immediately after use.

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, scourers, acetone, alcohol etc.

Do not clean any of the parts in a dishwasher.

1

Switch off the appliance, remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the sieve has

stopped rotating.

Remove the dirty parts from the motor unit, clean them with a soft brush in soapy water and

rinse them under a tap. (Fig. 1)

Clean the motor unit with a damp cloth.

Never immerse the motor unit in water nor rinse it under the tap.

Environment

Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but

hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the

environment (Fig. 13).
