6. Operation
 Place the scale on a flat, steady vibration-free surface.
 Always place the weight in the centre of the balance (indicated with
) and wait until the measurement is stabilized, indicated by a circle
in the display before reading the value.
 Use the On/Off button to switch on the scale. After initialization, the
LCD display shows the stable measurement indication and the zero
weight indication.
 Select the desired weighing unit (gram, carat, pennyweight or grains)
by pressing on the mode button. The selected unit is shown on the
display.
 Place the weight on the balance. Wait until the measurement is
stabilized, and read the weight on the display.
 When tare needs to be subtracted, place the tare weight on the scale
and wait until the measurement is stabilized. Press the tare button to
reset the scale to zero; the word ‘ZERO’ is indicated on the display.
 The relative measurement option allows using multiples of a basic
weight in stead of the weight itself.
To use the relative measurement option, place a basic weight on the
scale, and press and hold the counting button until the word ‘PCS’
appears. With the mode button the count can be set to 25 – 50 – 75 or
100 (%). Store the selection by pressing the counting button again.
