CARS6000 – REGULATED SWITCHING MODE CAR ADAPTER 120W

1. Introduction

Thank you for buying the CARS6000! It is designed to convert an 11-16Vdc input (car plug) to a 15-24Vdc output, as
required by most current notebook computers. It features overload and short circuit protection to avoid damage.

2. Voltage & Polarity

! The importer will not be held responsible for damaged or lost software or damage to a connected device.
Before connecting a device you should make sure that both the voltage and polarity are correct. Do not
change either voltage or polarity during operation. Contact your local dealer when in doubt.

a. Voltage

7 voltages are available: 15, 16, 18, 19, 20Vdc for a maximum consumption of 6A, and 22, 24Vdc for 5A max.
Check what the required voltage is and select it on the CARS6000.

b. Polarity

The CARS6000 comes with 6 different adapter plugs.
Select the one you need and connect it to the cable end.
The plugs can only be connected so as to obtain a positive tip
voltage. This is the most common type of voltage supply connection for notebook computers.

3. Caution

1. For 12Vdc car use only!
2. Always double check voltage and polarity before using a device in order to avoid damage.
3. Do not use this adapter with an appliance that requires more than 120W.
4. Do not attempt to open this device as it will void the warranty.
5. Remove the CARS6000 from the cigar lighter plug when it is not being used.
6. Always switch the connected device off before disconnecting the CARS6000.
7. Always start the car engine before plugging in the adaptor.
