6. Operation

• Press the power on/off button [3] to switch the sound meter on.

The display [5] immediately shows the sound level value (frequency

weighted dBA).

• Point the pick-up element [1] towards the sound source to be

measured.

• Press the MAX/MIN button [2] to hold the highest measured value

(MAX) on the display. Press the MAX/MIN button [2] again to hold

the lowest measured value (MIN) on the display.

• To exit max/min mode, press and hold the MAX/MIN button [2] for

±2s. Note: maximum and minimum values are reset when the

sound meter is switched off.

• The light sensor [4] continuously monitors the environmental light

conditions and switches the backlight automatically on when

necessary.

• When measuring outdoors, the windscreen [1] should be placed

over the pick-up element to eliminate noise generated by wind.

• In case longer measuring times are expected, consider mounting

the sound meter on a tripod (not incl.) using the tripod nut [7].

7. Battery

To replace the battery, remove the battery cover [6] by sliding it

downwards.

• Detach the old 9V battery from the clip.
