PART # 17-052 (For 17-014, 015)

PART # 17-053 (For 17-011, 013)

Replacement Oil: Fork Oil Weight #5 (For firmer damping, use #10)

Instructions:
* Read all instructions and refer to the illustration. DO NOT scratch or chip the surface of the
Rod during installation. The damage may cause an oil leak.

1. Remove the adjusting knob and heim joint from the rod ends.

2. Remove clips (A) on both sides of the stabilizer body and push the rod through the stabilizer
to release the oil seal on both sides. DO NOT hit the rod-end with a steel hammer or any hard
material if you will be reusing the rod.

If the Rod bends, it will choke metal (1) or (2). Try to pull the oil seal out of the stabilizer using
oil seal pullers or any similar tools.

3. Remove the rod unit from the stabilizer and move clip (C) to disconnect the rod unit.

4. Replace inner parts (D to G) and connect the Rod using the new clip (C). Turn one side of the
rod while holding the other to check that the adjuster (E) clicks 6 times.

5. Install metal (2) with sponge, new oil seal (B) and clip (A) in stabilizer body.

6. Set adjuster to the lightest position (turn adjusting knob counter-clock wise all the way) and
hold the center hole on the oil seal using your finger. Fill about 3/4 of the stabilizer body with
fork oil.

Insert rod unit, from the metal (2) side, carefully into stabilizer through the oil seal. Slide rod
unit slowly at least 10 times to remove air bubbles in the stabilizer body. *Oil may overflow.

7. Refill stabilizer body with fork oil. Make sure that there is no air left inside.

8. Install new oil seal (B), clip (A), and adjusting knob. Slide rod several times with different
adjusting positions to check if the adjuster is working.

9. Install heim-joint to rod unit using pin (H). If using a new rod, drill a hole for the pin.

IMPORTANT: Please read through and follow the instructions exactly with professional supervision if
necessary. Shindy Products, Inc. will not be responsible for any damage.
