need to be shortened to fit properly in
the new mounting location).
19.
Locate the inner fender brace on
the top left of the engine
compartment. See
Figure 5. Remove
the fender brace four (4) bolts and
then set aside.
20.
Remove the connector attached to
the engine firewall by pulling off the
plastic retainer.
Note: The connector is being relocated
to provide clearance for the brake
compressor panel.
21.
Install the new compressor panel
with the installed air compressor and
components in the area under the
removed fender brace and in front of
the engine firewall. See
Figure 6 thru 7.
22.
Reinstall the inner fender brace
and fit it to the original location. Make
sure to line up the compressor panel
bolt holes to the fender brace bolt
holes and fasten bolts.
23.
Locate the supplied bolt, washer
and nut from the kit and fasten the
compressor panel to the inner fender
brace. See
Figure 8.
24.
Secure connector removed from
engine firewall in step 20 to a new
location. Use a wire tie and secure to
wire harness.
Note: Do not stress the wires,
connector, or wire harness.
25.
Re-route the wiring and the
pneumatic hose to the new air
compressor location.
26.
Trim the pneumatic hose to the
appropriate length for the new
mounting location and insert it into the
air compressor solenoid valve outlet.
27.
Reconnect the wiring connections
to the compressor panel and coil up
and secure any extra wire length.
