CONFIGURING POWER-OFF DELAY
POWER-OFF DELAY FEATURE ALLOWS DEVICES TO
REMAIN POWERED FOR A PREDETERMINED LENGTH
OF TIME AFTER ENGINE HAS BEEN TURNED OFF.
DELAY BEGINS AS SOON AS ENGINE IS OFF, AND
DEVICES WILL SHUT OFF WHEN DELAYED TIME HAS
PASSED. SEE CHART ABOVE FOR CONFIGURING DIP
SWITCHES TO DESIRED POWER-OFF DELAY.

SELECTING MODE (E)
BATTERY SENSING (DC):
SAFE-T-CHARGE WILL RESPOND TO THE RISING OR DROPPING OF
BATTERY VOLTAGE. WHEN ENGINE IS TURNED OFF, UNIT WILL DETECT THE DROP OF THE VOLTAGE
AND ACTIVATE POWER-OFF DELAY. RECOMMENDED FOR ELECTRICALLY NOISY AFTERMARKET
CONVERTERS.
IGNITION SWITCH (IGN): SAFE-T-CHARGE WILL RESPOND TO A SWITCHED VOLTAGE SOURCE WITH A
RANGE BETWEEN 2/3 BATTERY VOLTAGE AND 19 VOLTS. REQUIRES ADDITIONAL WIRE TO MEASURE
A POWER SOURCE THAT IS ACTIVATED BY IGNITION SWITCH. IGN MODE RESPONDS TO A FUNCTION
IN VEHICLE ACTIVATED BY IGNITION, SUCH AS LIGHTS OR RADIO.

TO ENSURE SAFE INSTALLATION AND PROPER USE, READ ALL WARNINGS, SPECIFICATIONS AND STEPS

CONNECTING WIRES
USE MINIMUM 10-GAUGE WIRE SIZE BETWEEN (B) BATTERY TERMINAL AND BATTERY,
REGARDLESS OF FUSE SIZE, AND LARGER FOR LONG RUNS OVER 15 FEET.

1. CONNECT APPROPRIATE SIZE WIRE FROM (A) OUTPUT TERMINAL TO YOUR PERIPHERALS.
2. CONNECT 18-GAUGE WIRE FROM (D) GROUND TERMINAL TO VEHICLE CHASSIS (IDEAL CONNECTION IS MADE DIRECTLY
TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL).
3. (OPTIONAL) CONNECT 18-GAUGE WIRE FROM (C) IGNITION TERMINAL TO ON/OFF POWER SOURCE.

WHEN PROPERLY CONNECTED, (G) LED LIGHT WILL FLASH GREEN ONCE. 5 SECONDS LATER UNIT WILL BE TURNED ON (CONSTANT AMBER LED)

USE INLINE FUSES IN ALL WIRE RUNS AND ENSURE THAT ALL WIRES ARE SECURED WITH ALL TERMINALS FULLY TIGHTENED.
