INSTRUCTIONS:

Note: The installation will be much easier if the saddlebags are removed and motorcycle is elevated and
secured. Important
: Do not unbolt the OEM headpipes.

1. Loosen bolt on front clamp securing muffler to stock headpipe.
2. Loosen and remove bolt from muffler hanger located beneath saddlebag.
3. Pull muffler off headpipe. It may be necessary to rotate the muffler and wiggle it a bit to free it.
4. Loosen & remove the rearmost exhaust hanger bolt almost directly over the open end of the head pipes on

both sides.

5. Re-insert the hanger bolt and slide the M8 spacer behind the exhaust mount.
6. Place a new exhaust clamp on the front of your new Nasty Boy pipe.
7. Attach mounting bracket to muffler with round hole on threaded pad between the pipes, using supplied

3/8" bolt.

8. Slide new exhaust onto headpipe by rotating and pushing it forward at same time.
9. Align hole in mounting bracket and reinsert OEM rear mounting bolt along with supplied nut and lock

washer. Finger tighten only!

10. After brackets are in place, securely tighten all exhaust pipe clamps and brackets.
11. Reinstall saddlebag if you removed it.
12. Repeat steps 1 through 8 for other side of motorcycle.
13. For optimum performance we recommend the carburetors air/fuel mixtures be adjusted for the change in

exhaust flow and back pressure. For best results, this procedure should be performed by a qualified
Yamaha repair technician.

14. Re-tighten all bolts/nuts after riding 100 miles, including baffle retaining screw.

Note: We strongly recommend the application of Loctite®, or a similar material, on the threads of all bolts.

Note: The internal baffles can be removed and re-wrapped with new fiberglass muffler packing if, in time, you
find the exhaust note becoming too loud. There is an extra hole on the bottom of each pipe outlet for the
installation of Baron Family Jewel Tips (sold separately).

Our install guides provide a basic outline on the proper installation of our products. Further tuning and/or
