BIG AIR KIT - Yamaha V-Star 950 & V-Star 1300 (All models)

We recommend the use of a factory service manual for all installations. Our

instructions are for use a guide only.

We suggest when running the BAK with other than stock exhaust pipes you

should have your air/fuel mixture analyzed to determine if you need a fuel

injection modifier like a Dynojet, Cobra, TFI or similar.

3. Remove the (3) allen head bolts located at upper left and right corner and the one at the lower center of the

throttle body.

4. Remove the 10mm hex-nut located at the bottom of the black air cleaner.
5. Reach behind the front right side of the air cleaner with pliers and pinch the hose clamp on the crankcase vent

hose so you can pull the hose from the fitting on back.

6. Remove the filter mount assembly from the bike.
7. Place the black aluminum throttle body adapter plate against the throttle body and using blue Loctite®
insert

the (3) 5mm x 10mm x .80 cap head allen bolts tighten the bolts firmly against the throttle body.

8. Place the oval BAK backing plate against the Black adapter plate and using the blue Loctite® insert the (2)

firmly tighten them into the backing plate.

9. Take the Baron air filter and insert it in and over the track cut into the backing plate.

of similar diameter. Clean the cover with glass cleaner or equivalent then firmly press/hold the cones in place
for 30 seconds. (Caution the cones are sharp, please be careful) Now insert the chrome cover over the filter
being sure to get the rubber filter to seat fully in the oval track.

13. Reach around behind the BAK with pliers and reattach the rubber hose onto the nylon nipple.
14. Starting with the upper of the two bolts get the hex bolts threads started into the back of the chrome cover.

Being careful to keep the filter in the track cut into the backside of the chrome cover. Now tighten these bolts
