1. The preparation of the paint surface is the key for this product and will determine the
success of this installation. The first step will be to thoroughly scrub the paint surface in
front of the vent opening with alcohol. Scrub the area several times to insure that all
waxes and or paint treatments are completely removed. Test this by applying some
masking tape to determine the level of tack you have accomplished.
2. You have been provided with a paper template for the spear placement. Cut this
template along the dotted line and cut out the square holes. Place the prepared
template at the fender edge as well as the edge of the vent opening and secure the
template in place by applying small segments of masking tape over each of the square
holes.
3. With the template nicely taped in place swipe the two spear areas with the adhesive
promoter provided and allow it to dry for a few seconds. Each of the spears is identified
with a description for its location: Driver Top/Driver bottom etc. Before you
permanently attach any spear, place the correct spear in its location to familiarize
yourself with its position as well as how level it will be. Once you have this clear in your
mind simply peel the red release liner from the back of the spear and carefully set it in
place pressing firmly to set its position. After you have successfully set the second spear
carefully remove the template so that you can reuse it for the other side and follow the
exact same procedures. Allow twenty four hours to set before washing the vehicle.
Pressure washing is NOT recommended.
4. You have been supplied with two lengths of chrome trim. (Optional) This trim
has been supplied to be placed at the outer edge of the vent opening to add a nice
finished appearance. Simply clean the vent ridge with household rubbing alcohol
then swipe with the adhesive promoter provided. Once preparation is complete
simply peel the red release liner from the precut trim and set in place. Press firmly
to set.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE:
Allow 24 hours before washing.
Never use a car wash with brushes.
