area of the motor. Remove the two bolts securing this line and simply turn the line down and re
bolt it. This creates needed clearance for the new shroud and won’t hurt the engines vacuum
needs in any way. You may need to rotate the rubber vacuum tubes by clamping the squeeze
clamps and slide them down the line just enough to allow you to twist the two lines into a more
comfortable and un twisted position. Then simply squeeze the clamps back up into position
securing the vacuum lines.

2- The next thing will be to remove the factory engine shroud from the engine and set aside.
3- Remove the two top throttle body bolts to the left and right side of the engine. (Note : These

will not be reused)

4- The engines oil dip stick will need to be nudged slightly forward in order to prevent the dip stick

from marring the new cover when removed or installed. In order to do this, simply remove the
dip stick. Slide a small Phillips screw driver into the metal tube about two inched down and then
gently nudge the tube forward. You will only need to nudge the tube forward about a half an
inch or so depending on your motor.

5- The next step will be to tweak the shape of the new shroud. Since all engines vary a little in one

way or another, you will most likely need to set the shroud in place. Gently force the shroud to
take shape to the two air tubes. You may need to increase or decrease the curl in the cover so
that the shroud will lay nice and snug to the tubes. You may also need to re route the sensor
harness to allow the new cover to set over the two tubes without binding on the harness.

6- The next thing to do will be to align the two upper tabs in the shroud to the holes exposed

earlier at the throttle body. Once you have lined them up, simply attach the shroud using the
two 6MM Allen head bolts provided. Remove the protective liner of the shroud at the two tab
areas and install the bolts just snug. Try not to over tighten these two bolts because this will
warp the shroud creating an unsightly attachment point. Once you have tightened everything
down, remove the rest of the protective liner and re install the factory engine shroud to finish
the installation.
