4.1 Maintenance Safety Instructions
Maintenance Personnel
Risk of electric shock
No matter the UPS is connected to the utility power or not, the
output may have electricity. The parts (battery, capacitor) inside the unit may
still have hazardous voltage after turning off the UPS.
Make sure to disconnect the batteries before carrying out any kind of
maintenance or repair. In this product, the battery is dangerous.
Verify that no voltage between the battery terminals and the ground
is present before maintenance or repair. In this product, the battery circuit is
not isolated from the input voltage. Hazardous voltages may occur between
the battery terminals and the ground.
Verify that no hazardous voltage exists in the energy storage
capacitor before maintenance or repair.
