Ingalls Engineering Stiffy ™ Engine Torque Damper for 2007+ Honda Fit

CAUTION: Observe proper safety and repair procedures for installation of all chassis parts. Some chassis parts require
specialized tools and experience and therefore MUST be installed by a qualified technician; otherwise and unsafe vehicle and/or
personal injury could result. Wear safety glasses and other protection.
WARNING: Before beginning, check for any damaged or loose motor mounts. Pull back and forth on the motor by hand or using
a pry bar. Loose connections here indicate worn or broken parts which MUST BE REPLACED. Failure to replace a damaged or
worn motor mount and/or link may cause the major damage, possibly resulting in serious personal injury. Installer MUST check
for proper clearance. Modification(s) may be required. Please proceed ONLY if the vehicle owner is completely aware of these
potential modifications.

Step 1: Under the hood, locate the passenger’s side motor mount. Just above the motor mount there are three M8
bolts on the side of the motor. Install the bracket as shown in Figure 1. Reuse the OEM bolts for the forward two
holes. On the rear hole, install the smallest (6mm) spacer between the bracket and the engine block and use the
longer M8 bolt provided.

Step 2: Locate passenger’s side engine mount and the 4 bolts that mount it to the chassis. Remove the 2 bolts
toward the rear of the vehicle and the front inside bolt as shown in Figure 2. Install the chassis bracket using the two
large spacers in the rear holes and the remaining smaller (9mm) spacer in the front hole. Secure the chassis bracket
using the included hardware with the two longest M10x1.25x80mm bolts and washers in the rear and the
M10x1.25x60mm bolt and washer in the front. Note: A socket extension may be needed to install the front bolt.
