5. Operation
In order to perform the experiment, the follow-
ing equipment is additionally required:
1 Vacuum pump
e.g. piston vacuum pump 1000798
• Insert the falling body into the tube.
• Seal off the tube properly.
• Connect the vacuum pump to the hose
nipple. The cock must be open.
• Evacuate the tube.
• Close the cock.
• Disconnect the tube from the vacuum
pump.
• Hold the tube in a vertical position and
observe the characteristics of the falling
bodies.
• After completing the experiment, open the
cock and let air into the tube.
