Triumph Thunderbird
One-Piece Seat
Removal of Stock Seat
(seats are 2-piece and are the same on the 2009-13 1600cc Thunderbird and the 2011-13 1700cc Storm)
1. Using a 5mm Allen wrench, remove the 6mm rear seat mounting screw from the fender.
2. Slide the rear seat back out of the front fender bracket, up and off of the fender.
3. With the rear seat removed, remove the solo seat side mounting bolts located ahead of the shocks using a
5mm Allen wrench.
4. Lift the rear of the solo up and off the frame and then towards the rear to disengage the nose bracket that is
under the gas tank.

Installation of Mustang Seat
1. Before installing Mustang seat, remove seat
bracket from fender and reinstall the bolts
and washers, tightening them with an 8mm
wrench.
2. Slide the seat nose bracket into the receiver
under the gas tank.
3.
Install the stock 6mm screw through the rear
seat bracket and into fender. Tighten with a
5mm Allen wrench.
Remove bracket, reinstall
bolts and washers
