Mounting Suggestions
2008-

2013Harley-Davidson® Road King,

Road King Classic, FLHX, FLTR, FLHT

Rear Seat

Tools Required:

• Phillips Screwdriver

Hardware:

• Stock Rear Fender Screw
• Black Nylon Washer (Included)

Baseplate Features:
Rear seats are built on 16 gauge formed steel baseplates
and have two slots in the front of the baseplate and a single
chrome rear mounting tab.

Removal of Stock Passenger Seat

1. Remove the rear fender screw. This screw will be used later to secure

your new Mustang Rear Seat.

2. Slide the passenger seat back and up.

Mounting of Mustang Rear Seat

1. Front of baseplate is slotted and engages into the slotted nuts (Mustang

Part #78032 or H-D Equivalent) at the rear of the solo seat.

2. The supplied black nylon washer goes between the rear mounting tab

and the fender.

3. Secure with stock rear fender screw. The black retention clip that holds

the nut insert in the fender must remain in place.
