DALI MULTIeco

Description

Purpose and application

The DALI MULTIeco control unit controls the lighting at the

workplace and in offices according to the level of daylight and

the presence of persons to increase comfort and save energy.
The control unit can be installed in luminaires (e.g. floor stan-

ding luminaires) or in suspended ceilings.

Safety instructions

The control unit must only be installed and put into operation

by a qualified electrician. The applicable safety regulations and

accident prevention regulations must be observed.

WARNING!
Exposed, live cables or damaged housing.
Danger of electric shock!
• Only work on the control unit when it is de-

energised.

CAUTION!

Destruction of the control unit and other devices

through incorrect mounting!
• Do not operate any other control units on the

control line.

• Use the LMS CI BOX mounting kit for ceiling

installation.

• Ensure that the external pushbutton is designed

for the mains voltage.

• Do not wire the control and pushbutton lines

with an external voltage, especially not a mains

voltage of 230 V.

• Do not exceed the maximum number of electro-

nic control gears.

Function

The control unit can be operated in two different operating

modes, see also “Setting the operating mode”:
Brightness control
The sensors measure the brightness in the area to be regulated

and keep this to an adjustable set value by introducing artificial

light according to the amount of daylight available.
The sensors also detect the presence of people.
When the level of daylight is sufficient or people are no longer

present, the connected luminaires switch off after an adjustable

delay period.
Brightness control, presence detection and automatic switch-on

can be activated and deactivated using various modes.
Brightness reduction
If persons are present, the luminaires are dimmed to an adju-

stable brightness value.
If no persons are present, the brightness drops to a fixed stand-

by value of 50%, 30% or 10% after an adjustable delay time.
Automatic switch-on and automatic switch-off during periods

of prolonged absence can be activated and deactivated using

various modes.

Design

The control unit is made up of the following components:
• Adjusting screw for switch-off delay time (A)
• Sensor connection (B)
• DIP switch (C)
• Pushbutton connection (D)
• Control line connection (E)
• Load contact (F) optional, see “Setting the switch-off delay

time” in the operating instructions

• Power supply connection (G)
