WARNING:

Turn

OFF power ahead of the panelboard or

switchboard before working inside the
equipment or removing any component

Do

not remove circuit protective devices or any
other component until the power is turned
OFF.

General

To comply with the National Electridal Code and
Underwriters Laboratories, the Canadian Electrical Code
and the Canadian Standards Association, the load center
must be installed in accordance with the information
included on the label on the inside of the equipment.
This must also be done in accordance with the applicable
local electrical codes and by a qualified electrical
contractor or licensed electrician.

WARNING:

Hazard of electrical shock or burn.

Turn off power supplying this equipment
before working inside.

Installing the Fusible Switch

Use the following instructions to install main or branch
switches.

1. Assemble the bus connector blocks.

Locate the switch

on the interior at the extreme top or bottom
position. Before assembling the bus connector
blocks, note if the panel will have top or bottom feed.
Using the

" carriage bolts, flat washers,

conical washers, and nuts provided, secure the blocks
between the bus bars as shown in Figure 1. Tighten
the bolts to 40–50 in-lb.

2. Attach the strap module assembly.

Align the hook

tabs on the bottom of the switch into the square holes
in the support rails on the panelboard interior, as
shown in Figure 2. Line up the slotted holes in the
module straps with the tapped holes in the bus
connector block. Mount the switch in position on the
power panel interior with the four self-tapping
mounting screws provided, as shown in Figure 3.

Secure the module straps with the

" hex-

head bolts, conical washers, and flat washers
provided, as shown in Figure 4. Tighten the bolts to
90–110 in-lb.
