Step 1 – Unpack and Inspect

Unpack the wire connector kit and inspect the parts for

any shipping damage. Verify that all parts are supplied, as

listed in Table 2 and illustrated in Figure 2 or Figure 3.

Step 2 – Installation





Check to make sure all terminals are torqued to the

proper value. (8.84 lb-in = 1 Nm)

FCAL12/FCALK12 15 - 20A Saddle Clamps
1. Place nutplate [3] into recess in lug cover [1].
2. Push lug cover into terminal opening until it snaps into

place, as illustrated in Figure 1.

3. Install saddle clamp [2] oriented as shown in Figure 1.
4. Use joint compound recommended by wire

manufacturer with aluminum wire.
5. Cu/Al wire, strip length: 0.40 - 0.45 in (10 – 11mm).
6. Install wire #14 - 10 AWG and torque lug screw with

5/32” or 4 mm hex wrench to 35 lb-in (4 Nm).

1. Slide lug [2] into lug cover [1], as shown in Figure 1.
2. Push lug cover with lug inside into terminal opening

until it snaps into place, as illustrated in Figure 1.
3. Use joint compound recommended by wire

manufacturer with aluminum wire.
4. Cu/Al wire, strip length: 0.40 - 0.45 in (10 – 11mm)
5. Install wire and torque lug screw with 4 mm or 5/32”

hex wrench according to Table 3.
