Veiligheidsadvies / Safety advice
Read the following instruction care-
fully before using machine for the first
time.
• This appliance is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• The appliance may only be connected
to a power supply whose voltage and
frequency comply with the specifica-
tions on the rating plate!
• Never use or pick up the appliance if
– the supply cord is damaged,
– the housing is damaged.
• The appliance must only be connected
to an earthed socket. If necessary an
extension cable suitable for 10 A can
be used.
• If the appliance or the supply cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent or simi-
larly qualified person, in order to avoid
hazard.
• Always place the appliance on a flat,
level surface.
• Never leave the appliance unattended
while connected to the supply mains.
• The appliance and accessories become
hot during operation. Use only des-
ignated handles and knobs. Allow to
cool down before cleaning or storage.
• The mains cable must not come into
contact with any hot parts of the ap-
pliance.
• When the steam function is used there
can be some hot water dripping from
the brewing head. DANGER! The water
is hot, there is a risk for scalding.
• When opening the steam valve there
is a shot of hot water coming out.
Be careful and open the steam valve
slowly. DANGER! The water is hot,
there is a risk for scalding.
• Do not immerse the appliance in wa-
ter or any other liquid.
• Do not exceed the maximum filling
volume as indicated on the appliances.
• Fill the water tank only with cold wa-
ter, never with milk or other liquids.
• Do not use the appliance if the water
tank has not been filled.
• Do not use the appliance without the
drip tray or the drip grid.
• This appliance is intended for domes-
tic use only. The manufacturer cannot
accept any liability for possible dam-
age caused by improper or incorrect
use.
• Do not carry machine by the handle.
• This machine can only be used with
Lavazza A MODO MIO capsules. Do not
put your fingers or any other object
in the capsule compartment. The cap-
sules can be used only once.
• If the steam function is used continu-
ously over 1 hour time period, there
must be a pause of 2 min after each
steam use, otherwise the lever can
become hot.
• Never switch on the machine with
steam/hot water knob in steam posi-
tion.

tig door voordat u het apparaat voor
de eerste keer in gebruik neemt.
• Dit apparaat mag niet worden ge-
bruikt door personen (met inbegrip
van kinderen) met beperkte lichame-
lijke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermo-
gens, of personen zonder ervaring of
kennis, tenzij zij worden begeleid bij
of zijn geïnstrueerd over het gebruik
van het apparaat door iemand die de
verantwoordelijkheid draagt voor hun
veiligheid.
• Let op dat kinderen niet met het ap-
paraat spelen.
• Het apparaat mag alleen worden
aangesloten op een stroomtoevoer
waarvan de spanning en frequentie
voldoen aan de specificaties op het
classificatieplaatje!
• U mag het apparaat nooit gebruiken
of oppakken als
– het netsnoer beschadigd is,
– de behuizing beschadigd is.
• Het apparaat mag alleen worden aan-
gesloten op een geaard stopcontact.
Indien nodig kan een verlengsnoer
worden gebruikt dat geschikt is voor
10 A.
• Als het apparaat of de voedingskabel
is beschadigd, moet het apparaat door
de fabrikant, de servicevertegenwoor-
diger of een andere gekwalificeerde
persoon worden vervangen om risico’s
te vermijden.
• Plaats het apparaat altijd op een plat,
horizontaal oppervlak.
• Laat het apparaat nooit onbeheerd
achter wanneer het is aangesloten op
het elektriciteitsnet.
• Het apparaat en het toebehoren
worden heet tijdens de bediening. Ge-
bruik alleen de voor gebruik bestemde
hendels, knoppen en toetsen. Laat het
apparaat eerst even afkoelen voordat
u het reinigt of opbergt.
• Het netsnoer mag niet in contact ko-
men met een van de hete onderdelen
van het apparaat.
• Wanneer de stoomfunctie wordt ge-
bruikt, kan er heet water uit de koffie-
uitloop druppelen. GEVAAR! Het water
is heet, pas op dat u zich niet brandt.
• Wanneer u de stoomklep opent, komt
er een scheut heet water naar buiten.
Open de stoomklep daarom voorzich-

dat u zich niet brandt.
• Dompel het apparaat niet onder in
water of een andere vloeistof.
• Vul het apparaat niet met meer water
dan de maximaal toegestane hoeveel-
heid zoals op het apparaat is aangege-
ven.
• Vul het waterreservoir alleen met koud
water. Gebruik nooit melk of andere
vloeistoffen.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet als het wa-
terreservoir niet is gevuld.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet zonder de
lekbak of het lekrooster.
• Dit apparaat is alleen bestemd voor
huishoudelijk gebruik. De fabrikant
aanvaardt geen enkele aansprakelijk-
heid voor mogelijke schade als gevolg
van onbehoorlijk of onjuist gebruik.
• Draag het apparaat niet aan de hen-
del.
• Deze machine mag alleen met Lavazza
A MODO MIO capsules worden ge-
bruikt. Steek geen vingers of andere
voorwerpen in het capsulecompar-
timent. De capsules kunnen slechts
eenmaal worden gebruikt.
• Als de stoomfunctie langer dan 1 uur
achter elkaar wordt gebruikt, moet er
steeds 2 minuten tussen elk gebruik in
zitten, omdat het handvat anders heet
kan worden.
• Zet het apparaat niet aan indien de
stoom/heet water knop in stoom posi-
tie staat.
