System LED indicators
The front panel features LED indicators that signify the status of the
system, the installed hard drives, and the network connection.
Indicators Color State Description

Blue Blinking System is booting
Blue On System is connected to the Windows
Home Server and ready for use
Orange Blinking System recovery is in progress
Orange
On The system detects failure:
• FAN failure
• System temperature failure
• USB controller failure
• Memory failure
• Voltage failure
• Boot device not found
• HDD failure
- Purple On: internal HDD not found
- Orange On: booting failed on
external HDD
Purple Blinking System BIOS crashes and enter the
ASUS CrashFree mode.
Note: Copy the BIOS file from the
Recovery DVD to a USB device, and then
insert the USB device to your home
server before entering ASUS CrashFree.
Purple On System is booting from a USB / eSATA
device
