apparatus.

Attention

Be sure to use a 9V battery, other voltages might damage the circuit.

When you don’t use the tester for a long period of time; remove the battery.

Don’t connect this apparatus with a wire which is connected to a mains socket. This might result in
heavy damage and even death.

Never test wiring which is directly connected to an active network.

Don’t renew or remove any internal parts.

How to use
Plug one end of the cable in the main unit’s sending socket (the one indicated with the red arrow) and
the other end in the left socket or in the secondary unit’s socket. Now turn the power on by pushing
and releasing the ‘POWER’ button. The lights will now blink red or green. Check the meaning of the
indications below.

All green: ...........................OK, straightwired
All red: ..................................OK, crosswired
Mix or no light: ................................ miswired


One sequence will take up to two seconds. Now you know how your cable is wired. Push and release
the ‘POWER’ button again and the apparatus will switch off.

This tester can be used for RJ45 cables and for BNC cables. BNC cables can be connected with the
tester by connecting them first to the BNC/RJ45 transformer cables. After that, plug it the two RJ45
ends and you can test the cable the same way you would do with a regular RJ45 cable.
