1 . Check if the correct die is installed
in the crimp tool. See the Mini-HR
profile drawing at right.
2 . Slide the color coded heat
shrink tube or BNC strain relief
over the cable, then slide the
ferrule over the cable.
3 . Carefully strip the end of
the coaxial cable to
expose the shielding and
conductor, as shown at
right.
4 . Insert the conductor into
the center pin.

5 . Insert the conductor and pin
into the crimp tool. With the
flange on the center pin flush
with the edge of the die, use
the die’s smaller chamber to crimp the center pin.
6 . Insert the center pin into the BNC plug body
and slide the exposed shielding
over the support sleeve of the
BNC.
7 . Slide the ferrule over the
shielding and against the
BNC body.
8 . Use the die’s larger chamber
to crimp the ferrule.
9 . Slide and set the heat shrink
tube or BNC strain relief over the ferrule.
