6. Set the maximum number of fi rmware uploads that can take place at the
same time. The fi rmware fi les are uploaded to batches of this many units at a
time until all units listed in the Select Device list have received new fi les. The
default is 5 uploads at a time, and the upper limit is the total number of units
shown in the Select Device list.
7. Select the MLCs for the fi rmware update.
• Ctrl-click on the names of several units.
• Click on one unit’s name and Shift-click on the name of another unit to
select those two MLCs and the MLCs listed between them.
8. Click Browse, then locate and select the fi rmware fi le you downloaded.
9. Click Begin, then confi rm that you want to start uploading the fi rmware. The
software displays the progress and status of the fi rmware upload for each
unit, then performs a fi rmware validation before fi nishing. If uploading fails,
you can view the error log. If uploading is successful, the Status column
indicates success for each unit.
10. Click Close.
11. Close the IP Link File Manager software.
12. Restore the MLC’s confi guration from a previously saved fi le.
