Overview
This guide provides instructions for an experienced installer to mount and install the Extron TLP 710MV TouchLink
™
panel in
a standard 19-inch equipment rack, with 4U of vertical space. For complete instructions about installing and calibrating the
TouchLink panel, see the TLP 710MV and TLP 710TV User Guide, which is available on the Extron website

Preparing and Installing the RM 710M Mounting Kit
To mount the TLP 710MV in any standard 19-inch equipment rack, follow these instructions:
1.
If necessary, disconnect any cables that are attached to the TouchLink panel.
2.
Run cables to the rack. Provide some slack in the cable for installing the TLP 710MV
3.
Secure the RM rack mount plate to the rack using the rack mount screws provided by the manufacturer of the rack.
Mounting the TLP 710MV
1.
Remove the faceplate from the TLP 710MV and
ensure that all the locking arms are flush with the
unit.
2.
Push the TouchLink panel through the opening in the
RM 710M.
3.
You may secure the TLP 710MV to the RM 710M using
the locking arms

Tighten the four screws for the locking arms
(two at the top and two at the bottom of the
TLP 710MV). As the screws tighten, the locking
arms rotate and clamp against the back of the
RM 710M, holding the TouchLink panel in place.
Do not overtighten the screws.
OR
Ö
Use four mounting screws (#6-32 x 0.375 inches)
to secure the TouchLink panel to the nut inserts in
the RM 710M. Do not overtighten the screws.
4.
Connect the cables to the back of the TLP 710MV.
If necessary, carry out an initial calibration of the
TouchLink panel, and replace the faceplate. For
complete instructions about cabling and calibration,
see the TLP 710MV and TLP 710TV User Guide.
