ELECTRONIC TIMER WITH 6 TOASTING LEVELS

Electronic timer a can be used to set the preferred toasting level (from 1 to 6) and to leave it set for next time.

In addition, the toaster has the following automatic functions:
- Reheat function: for heating slices that have already been toasted and have cooled down in the meanwhile (the toaster heats the slice

for about 25 seconds).

- Defrost function: for toasting frozen slices (the toaster adds an additional time to the standard one corresponding to the time set using

the switch).

AUTOMATIC CENTRING SYSTEM

The appliance is equipped with an automatic slice centring system for uniform toasting.

TOASTER

Using for the first time
When the appliance is new it may give off smoke and a typical smell of new. You are therefore advised to wait a few minutes before
placing food inside.
Warning! Danger of burns:
- Do not touch the food or the metal parts of the toaster or clamp with the hands while they are very hot.
Operation
- Plug the appliance into a suitable socket.
- Place the slice of bread in the cooking seat h [Fig. A].
- Set timer a to the required toasting level [Fig B].
- Lower on/off lever i to the limit switch to start toasting: the central indicator light comes on [Fig C].
- if it is a frozen slice, press defrost key d: the corresponding indicator light comes on [Fig D].
- if it is a previously toasted slice that is now cold, press reheat key b: the corresponding indicator light comes on [Fig E].
Once the toasting cycle has finished, the appliance will automatically turn off and the on/off lever will return to its original position, lifting
the toasted slices.
- To extract the toasted slices more easily, raise the on/off lever over its original position [Fig. F].
NB: toasting can be stopped at any time by pressing stop key c [Fig G]: the on/off lever will return to the starting position.
Warning:
- Never put hands, forks or other implements into the cooking seat, even when the appliance is switched off.
- Use the toaster to toast single slices of bread or pre-sliced bread. Do not toast food with fillings that could drip during

cooking.

CLEANING

- Disconnect the appliance from the power socket.
- Remove the crumb tray e to clean it [Fig. H].
- The casing g may be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not use rough cloths or abrasive detergents.
- Wash the crumb tray with hot water and detergent or in the dishwasher, with the program at 55 °C.
Warning:
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Never use metal implements (forks, knives, etc.) to remove residues of food from the cooking seat.
