Operation

1.

Prepare the dough (refer to section “Doughnut recipe”) it must be allowed to
stand for several hours before it is suitable for use.

2.

Lift the lid and lightly grease both the baking plates with a brush or a lint free
piece of cloth using butter, margarine or oil. Do not apply too much as the
doughnuts will taste of fat.

3.

Rotate the temperature control to position 0 and connect the mains plug to
a suitable plug socket. The red indicator lamp lights up, the unit is not
heating up.

4.

Set the temperature control to the desired position from low to high. The
correct setting depends upon the recipe and your preferences. The green
indicator lamp lights up, the unit will heat to the required temperature.

5.

As soon as the required temperature is attained, the red indicator lamp will
remain on and the green light will go off.

6.

Lift the lid by the handle and pour the dough onto the bottom baking plate
using a spoon. Do not overfill the baking plates with dough (the dough
expands during cooking so if you overfill the appliance, the dough will ooze
out from the unit during preparation).

7.

The doughnuts are baked to golden after about three minutes (depending
upon the temperature setting and dough recipe).

8.

Lift the lid by the handle. Caution: parts of the unit will become very hot
during operation, only touch the unit by the handle.

9.

To lift the doughnuts from the bottom plate, only use a plastic or wooden
spoon, do not use any metallic or sharp-edged tools under any
circumstances; they could damage the non-stick coating of the heating
plates.

10.

Allow the doughnuts to cool before eating.
