Quick Start Guide

Before applying power, verify AC input utility. Verify a low-resistance ground

is installed in accordance with the NEC (refer to XM2-300 HP Power Supply

technical manual for details).

Verify the battery switch is OFF.

Connect battery cables to battery terminals (connect temperature probe ring lug to negative

Turn on AC breaker (located on enclosure) and verify correct (per unit’s nameplate voltage)

Verify no alarms are present (it may take up to 60 seconds for alarms to clear).

(NOTE: The firmware automatically performs a 10-second self-test 30

seconds after initialization). The self-test may also be manually initiated by simultaneously

pressing the DOWN arrow key and ENTER key. Wait for self-test completion before

proceeding. To manually exit self-test, simultaneously press DOWN arrow and ENTER key.

Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at their own expense.

WARNING!

Verify battery voltage, cable color (Red +, Black -), connection and polarity are correct before

proceeding.

13. Perform this live inverter test procedure:

a.) Turn AC input breaker OFF.

b.) Verify XM2-300 HP transfers to “Inverter” mode.

c.) Turn AC input breaker ON.

d.) Verify XM2-300 HP transfers back to utility.

14. Verify Service Power Inserter (SPI) toggle switch in ON position (not ALT).
