Installation Notes:

¾

Please use 75 Ohm coaxial cable and BNC connector for the data transmission.

¾

The impedance of total transmission cable does not exceed 39 Ohm capabilities.

¾

Please use less than 2 meters Category 5, 5E or 6 UTP patch cable to connect IP camera or Switch HUB.

¾

Some IP cameras built in pigtail cable which with none standard Cat. 5 UTP cable, it will cause the shorter
transmission distance or no communication. Please confirm this issue to your IP camera vendor.

¾

Please measure the coaxial wire distance, use only transceivers that are designed for that distance.

¾

To avoid the terminator problem, before connecting the LAN cable from EOC device to switching HUB, please
connect the coax cable between both EOC devices and the LAN cable between IP camera & EOC device first.

¾

The quality of coaxial cable will reduce or increase the transmission distance and provide power current. The
EPOC-101Kit is tested for use with RG-59U 75 Ohm copper based 20AWG coaxial cable.
