OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Batteries: Locate battery compartment latch on top of megaphone ( A ).
Open and insert 8 "C" size batteries (not included) into the battery

sleeves ( B ). Follow battery diagram on label ( C ) and sleeves for
battery direction.

Battery Status: The megaphone has 3 LED's HIGH, MID, LOW, ( D )
that will tell you the current strength of the batteries. Note: Drained
batteries do not give sufficient sound volume. Replace the batteries

when LOW LED lights when trigger is squeezed. Remove batteries
when not in use for a long time.

Talk: Make sure that the switch ( E ) is in the Off / Talk position. Place
mouth about one inch from microphone ( F ), squeeze trigger ( G ) and

speak. To increase volume, rotate volume control ( H ) left to right.
When you have a fresh set of batteries you may get "feedback" when
talking. To eliminate feedback you need to turn down the gain. Locate
the gain control ( I ) in the battery compartment. Turn until you do not

hear any feedback.

Siren: To activate Siren, move switch ( E ) to the right. Siren will be
heard. There is no control of the volume.

Whistle: To activate Whistle, move switch ( E ) to the left. Whistle will
be heard. There is no control of the volume.

Property Label: Located on the bottom of the bell. Use marking pen to
write ownership name on megaphone.

Rechargeable Battery Pack (not included): Optional S1405 Lithium-
ion battery pack with built-in wall charger. Replaces the 8 "C" size
batteries.
