1.

If vehicle is equipped with a factory step bumper, remove and discard the 12mm hex bolt from each end of the frame.

2.

Vehicles W/O Factory Step Bumper: Using the existing holes in the frame rails, bolt the reinforcement bracket into the inside
end of each frame rail using 1/2” X 1.25” hex bolts, 1/2” hex nuts and lockwashers. The reinforcement brackets should rest
against the frame rail lower flanges.

Lift receiver into position, centering over the existing holes in the frame.

4.

Vehicles W/O Factory Step Bumper: Install The M12 X 1.75 X 45mm hex bolt and 1/2” conical toothed washer through the
receiver bracket, frame rail and reinforcement bracket. Install the 1/2” lockwasher and M12 X 1.75 hex nut.

Vehicles W/ Factory Step Bumper: Install the M12 X 1.75 X 45mm hex bolt and 1/2” conical toothed washer through the
receiver bracket, into the frame, threading into the existing weld nut. The M12 hex nuts, 1/2” X 1.25” hex bolts, 1/2” hex nuts,
1/2” lockwashers and the reinforcement brackets may be discarded.

5.

Increase the center attachment hole to 9/16”.

6.

Install the remaining fasteners as shown, placing the blocks inside the frame rails.

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to

prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working

beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5

and SAE J684.

Tighten all M12 CL8.8 fasteners with torque wrench to 85 Lb.-Ft. (116 N*M)
