Drill Bits: 1/2”
Trunk Pan
1. REMOVE SPARE TIRE FROM INSIDE TRUNK
2. Raise hitch into position centered on vehicle, sliding hitch forward on vehicle until receiver tube contacts tow hook.
3. Install 3/8” U-Bolt through tow hook and hitch bracket as shown above. Fasten with flat washers and nuts as shown. Make
sure flat washers Do Not Overlap.
4. Using hitch as a template, drill 1/2” holes in vehicle trunk pan as shown. REMOVE SPARE TIRE BEFORE DRILLING.
5. Install 1/2” fasteners as shown.
Note: Remove sound-deadening material as needed inside trunk to insure block sits flat on metal trunk surface.
6. Seal all holes drilled into vehicle to prevent entry of exhaust fumes into trunk.
7. Return spare tire to vehicle trunk.
Tighten all 1/2-13 GR5 fasteners with torque wrench to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)

Lock Nut Hex 3/8-16 Qty. (2) 7 Lock Washer 1/2 Qty. (4) 3
Flat Washer 3/8 Qty. (2) 6 Block Qty. (4) 2
U-Blot 3/8-16 Qty. (1) 5 Carriage Bolt 1/2-13 X 1.75 Qty. (4) 1
Tighten all 3/8-16 GR2 fasteners with torque wrench to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27N*M)
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
and SAE J684.
