Draw-Tite 118569 T-ONE CONNECTOR - Manual

TOOLS REQUIRED:
10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench,
Drill (3/32” Drill Bit), 1/4” Socket, Test-probe
1. Open the vehicle’s rear tailgate. Locate the grey
tow plug by opening the access panel inside of
the storage compartment de.
2. Insert the T-Connector harness into the
vehicle’s Tow-Plug harness and lock into place.
WARNING
All connector surfaces should be clean and
free of dirt. Be careful not to damage the
locking tabs and be sure that connectors
are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
3. Locate a suitable grounding point. Drill a
3/32” hole and secure the white wire using
the eyelet and screw provided. Do not drill
into any exposed surfaces.
4. Mount the T-Connector black box using
double-sided tape provided.
WARNING
The black box-module is intended to be
mounted ONLY in the INTERIOR of the vehicle.
Mounting on the exterior or areas exposed to
the elements or moisture could cause serious
damage to the vehicle and module.
5. Open vehicle hood, and locate the fuse box
on the driver side near the front of the vehicle.
Unlatch the fuse door to access the fuse area.
Locate position labeled (20A) Trailer. Insert
the 20 amp fuse included with the T-Connector
package in this position and latch the fuse
box f.
WARNING
All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector to function properly. Test and
verify installation with a test light or trailer
once installed. For initial test, reset vehicle
electrical system by temporarily removing
the key from the ignition.
6. Store 4-Flat connector in rear cargo area
when not in use.
WARNING
Overloading circuit can cause fires. DO NOT
exceed lower of towing manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light: 2 per side (4.2 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (7.5 amps)
