WARNING
All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector to function properly. Test and
verify installation with a test light or trailer
once installed.
6. Route the 4-flat to the center of the vehicle.
Secure the black box to the vehicle with the
cable tie provided. Secure the remainder of the
T-Connector harness with cable ties
provided, to prevent damage or rattling and
being careful to avoid any areas that would
cut or pinch the wire.
Toyota Tacoma ONLY
Reinstall the taillights removed in step 1.
WARNING
Overloading circuit can cause fires. DO NOT
exceed lower of towing manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop.turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
• Max. tail light: (7.5 amps)

sheet for additional information.

10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench
1. Toyota Tacoma
A. Open the tailgate and remove the vehicle’s
taillights. Carefully pry the housings away
from the vehicle, being careful not to break
the alignment tabs. d e
B. Beginning on the left (Driver’s) side, locate
the vehicle’s wiring harness. There will be
connection points attached to each taillight
housing matching the ends of the
T-Connector adapter. f
Toyota T100
A. Locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness
near the rear of the frame. This harness will
have connection points on both sides of the
frame with connectors matching the end of
the T-Connector adapter. g
2. Separate the connections, being careful not to
break the locking tabs. Check to see that the all
surfaces are free of dirt and clean if necessary.
3. Beginning on the Driver’s side, plug the
T-Connector end with yellow wire between the
wiring connections. Be sure that the T-Connector
is fully inserted with locking tabs in place.

4. Toyota Tacoma
A. Beginning on the Driver’s side, route
the T-Connector end with green wire and
the 4-flat connector out through the hole
between the vehicle bumper and body. h
Route the 4-flat underneath the bumper.
B. Route the T-Connector end with green wire
to the Passenger’s side and up through the
opening, being careful to avoid any areas that
would cut or pinch the wire. Repeat
step 2 & 3 with T-Connector containing
the green wire.
Toyota T100
A. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for the right (Passenger’s)
side using the
connector containing the green wire.
5. Toyota Tacoma
A. Locate ground stud in Driver’s side
taillight pocket. Secure T-Connector’s
ring terminal with nut provided. i
Toyota T100
A. Locate a suitable grounding point near the
adapter such as the vehicle frame or cross
member. (Do not drill into the vehicle floor
or bed.) Clean dirt and rustproofing from
the area. Drill a 3/32” hole and secure white
wire using the eyelet and screw provided.
CAuTIoN
Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling
to avoid damage to the vehicle and/or person
injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.
