INTRODUCTION

Your Cargo Guard

TM

is designed to protect the rear cargo

space of all SUV’s from dirt and debris. Four straps attach
the Cargo Guard to the vehicle’s roof . The size of the
vehicle will determine if there is extra material or if Cargo
Guard reaches all the way from side to side.

INSTALLATION

1.

Insert the Cargo Guard into the cargo area of the SUV
with the straps and gray colored material facing the
ceiling of the vehicle.

2.

Extend the front corners fully while leaving the opening
close to the tailgate door and the bumper guard
positioned out of the tailgate and over the bumper.
(Note: In larger vehicles the Cargo Guard may not
reach all the way to the front.)

3.

Take the two straps from the front corners and loop
them out the backseat side doors and over the vehicle
roof. Pull taught and secure the straps engaging the
hooks of one strap with the loops of the opposite strap.
(Note: Do not pull so tight as to move the open section
of the Cargo Guard away from the tailgate door.) Use
as much of the hook and loop fastener as possible to
insure a secure attachment, and also reduce any wind
noise from the straps.

4.

Take the straps from the rear corners and feed them
through the top of the raised tailgate, pull taught and
loop them around the previously installed front straps.
Securely press the hook and loop material together so
that each strap is secured.

5.

When loading cargo keep the contents below the clear
window as to not obstruct rear visibility.

6.

After cargo is loaded verify that the straps are still
secure.

7.

Raise the bumper guard and hook and loop it to the
body of the Cargo Guard to keep contents from
reaching the back door.

8.

After use, remove the Cargo Guard.

9.

To clean, use a broom or water and sponge.
