Using the CD-RW with the USB interface

After the very first time you install the drive, you can connect or disconnect the CD-
RW drive without powering off the computer. Please follow the steps below:

Connecting the CD-RW drive to your computer

1. Connect the small connector to the interface connector of the CD-RW drive.

2. Connect the AC adapter plug into the DC IN jack of CD-RW; attach the AC

adapter to the AC power outlet.

3. Press the power button. The power LED should light up.

4. Plug the port connector of the USB cable into the USB port of the computer; the

CD-RW drive is now ready for use.

Disconnecting the CD-RW drive from computer

Remove the USB cable from the USB port on the computer.

Installing the application software

In order to write any data or audio tracks on a CD-R or CD-RW disk, you will need to
install the recording software.

Insert the recording software CD-ROM into the CD drive. The program will start and
prompt you to select a program to use.

CD-ROM disks

There are two types of disks included with this package.

CD-R-- This is a write-once disk. (Plain CD disk without a label.) Data is

permanently written on this disk. It is compatible with all CD-ROM drives.

CD-RW-- This is an erasable disk. (Look for CD-RW label on the CD.) It is

compatible with CD-ROM drives that support multi-read and have a speed
of 24x or higher.
