Seamless Roaming - BeltStati on Confi gurati on

Installati ons with multi ple BaseStati on coverage zones oft en require users to move from one work zone to another

throughout the day. Unlike iSe lect Roaming, Seamless Roaming allows users to roam freely from one zone to another

without any manual adjustment on their part. The BeltStati on will decide when it is ti me to change from one coverage zone

to another.

Confi rm that the BeltStati on has been paired to all the required BaseStati ons in the designated coverage zones.

Set up each BeltStati ons Roaming Group. Press MENU, select “Roaming,” then “Roaming Group,” and then scroll
to and select each BaseStati on that should be included in the group. To select, press ENT when cursor is next to
BaseStati on name. Up to 16 BaseStati ons may be selected.

To enable roaming, Press MENU, select “Roaming,” then “Roaming Group,” and select

Enable Roaming

. This will

enable the BeltStati on to roam to all selected BaseStati ons. When not enabled, the BeltStati on will operate as a
normal BeltStati on on one single BaseStati on.

To disable roaming, simply select a single BaseStati on from the list.

The Roaming Bias adjusts the parameters that determine when a BeltStati on will seek out a new BaseStati on. A BeltStati on’s

roaming decision is driven by a combinati on of link quality and ti me. It is recommended that Medium, (the default setti ng),

be used in most cases when setti ng up the system.

To Adjust the Roaming Bias (if needed), press MENU, select “Roaming,” and set Roaming Bias to one of the following:

High

: Looks more frequently for other BaseStati ons in the Roaming Group.

Medium

: Default setti ng for Seamless Roaming

Low

: Looks less frequently for other BaseStati ons in the Roaming Group.

Wireless ISO

Wireless ISO (isolate), someti mes referred to as wireless talk-around is a wireless-only intercom feature that allows

communicati on among wireless BeltStati ons only. When a wired intercom system is connected, Wireless ISO communicates

through the wireless porti on of the system only. The BaseStati on front panel headset does not receive ISO audio.

Wireless ISO is enabled by default and is

available only on channel A

. It is acti vated by pressing and holding ENTER. ENTER

enables the headset mic regardless of the “TALK A” butt on.

Wireless ISO only operates in Operati onal mode. It does not operate in Menu mode.
