97960 – HID Lights

2006 – 2011 Arctic Cat ATV’s or Prowler’s

- You will be working with a few small parts. A clean work space is very important for

properly functioning HID lights.

- Be very careful when working with HID light bulbs and ballast.

o NEVER TOUCH BULB! If bulb has been touched, clean with paper towel and

acetone to remove skin oil. Even if you can’t see it, your bulb will crack within a
few hours of use.

o NEVER TURN ON BALLAST WITHOUT BULB CONNECTED! If you do

23,000 volts will be looking for somewhere to go. If it finds you, it makes 120ac
house voltage seem like a pin prick. Take our word for it, your arm will hurt all
day.

- You will need to decide which beam (low or high) you would like to have the HID kit on.

The bulb closest to the center is your high beam. We recommend using the high beam,
so your halogen low is available for a camp light.

- Tilt your hood up, remove whichever bulb you decided to use. Insert the HID bulbs into

the socket.
