MMS Parameters

MMS profiles (“Profile”)

: To set your MMS profile, follow the same procedure as for setting your

WAP connection (see page 63).

Mode: choose between immediate or deferred reception for national and international network coverage
(see page 33).

Acknowledgment of receipt (“Rpt”): request for acknowledgement of receipt for each message sent.

Message validity (“Val”): the time period during which attempts to send the message to the recipient
will be repeated in case of failure.

Memory (“Mem.”): to store or automatically delete your sent messages.

Timer: sets the speed at which the pages scroll through: the recipient will see the message at this speed.

Filters: Anonymous MMS filtering: to receive or not anonymous messages

Layout: choose between display: image first then text or text then image.

Saving parameters

You can change the save parameters for your messages:

- Sent SMS are stored by default in the product:

Select “SMS parameters” and “Mem.” to choose “SIM memory” or “Phone memory”, or “Not
saved
”.

- Sent MMS are stored by default on the product:

Select “MMS parameters” and “Mem.” to choose “Phone memory” or “Not saved”.

Go to the digital mode.

Switch to the normal mode.

You have a personal dictionary which allows you to add

you can add a word by pressing the

key and by selecting “Add word”.

From the main menu, select “Messages” and using the navigation key to the right, select the

icon.

Service centre (“SC”)

: phone number of your operator’s service centre (it may be provided

automatically).

E-mail centre (“EC”)

: the number of the server for sending e-mails (it may be provided

automatically).

Ack. receipt (“Rpt”): request for acknowledgement of receipt for each message sent.

Format (“Typ”): format to be used for delivery of message to recipient (SMS, fax, etc.).
