To install the battery, remove the battery compartment cover (6), located on the

back of the unit by rotating the cover counterclockwise. Install the battery

according to polarity with positive (+) side going into the compartment first.

Once the battery is inside, replace the cover by rotating the cover clockwise until

stop.

TURNING THE UNIT ON AND OFF:

Your night vision unit has one-touch digital push-buttons. To turn the unit ON,

first remove the protective lens covers (9) (ONLY IN THE DARK!) and press the

system power button (3) until the little green light indicator located to the left of

the battery compartment cover lights up. Look through the oculars (eyepieces) –

you should see the green glow. Even if the image is not yet sharp, the unit is

operating. To turn the unit OFF, press the power button (3) again and make sure

the green light indicator is off. The green glow will continue for up to several

minutes, depending on the outside light conditions. This is normal. Always

replace the protective lens covers after the unit is turned off and no longer is in
use.

IMPORTANT: Your binoculars are equipped with the special protective light sensor

(7), which stops binoculars from being turned on in dangerously bright light

conditions. The sensor is located in the front of the unit and measures the

outside light.

FOCUSING THE UNIT:

To obtain the sharp image, first rotate both ocular focusing wheels (4) in either

direction, until you notice in which position the image is at its best. Then rotate

both objective lens focusing wheels (1) until you are able to obtain the best

possible image. You may have to repeat the process again each wheel at a time,

until the image is sharp and clear. Once the clear image is obtained, you no

longer need to adjust the ocular (eyepieces) lens. Just rotate the front objective

lens to adjust to the distance of the object you are viewing.

USING INFRARED ILLUMINATOR:

Your night vision monocular is equipped with a built-in Infrared illuminator light

(8). This light operates in a spectrum, which is normally invisible to a human

eye, however with the help of the tube, located inside the unit, you will see a

beam of light when looking though the ocular lens. This Infrared light is here to

assist you in especially dark conditions, where there is not enough light for the

tube to amplify.

To turn the Infrared illuminator ON, press the Infrared illuminator button (2) until
the red light indicator (located to the right of the battery compartment cover) is

on. To turn the infrared light off, press the same button again and make sure the
red light indicator is off. The Infrared light has a focusing wheel that can either

spread the beam for close distance viewing, or narrow it to reach further away.

When using the infrared illuminator it is important to remember that like a

flashlight, it is brightest when used in short distances. As the distance increases,

the intensity of the infrared light fades away.
