SET-UP FOR PATRIOT SYSTEMS
External Mix System
ACTIVITIES MUST BE DONE IN THE SEQUENCE SHOWN, AND MUST BE TICKED OFF AS
COMPLETED. USE THIS CHECKLIST IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE OPERATING MANUAL FOR THE
PATRIOT UNIT. THIS SEQUENCE FOLLOWS ON FROM “FIRST TIME START-UP CHECKLIST –
EX TERNAL MIX”

Priority Put on Respirator as specified for spray painting, Protective Clothing,
Eye Protection, and PVC Gloves
1 Check all hoses for damage.
2 Check all material supplies and fill or replace as needed.
3 Open main inlet air valve on the manifold.
4 Open recirculation valve on Catalyst Manifold.
5 Remove the Pivot Pin from the catalyst drive.
6 Manually pump the catalyst pump with the catalyst drive, observe catalyst
returning to the catalyst jug, pump until the stream is air free.
7 Close recirculation valve on Catalyst Manifold.
8 Manually pump the catalyst pump with Slave Arm drive, bring catalyst
pressure to operating pressure, about 100 psi.
9 Make sure to close the Ball Valve at the bottom of the resin filter
10 Slowly turn up the pump air pressure to the operating pressure, 30 – 50 psi.
If a safety over ride valve is installed press and hold the priming button
while adjusting air pressure.
11 Replace the Pivot Pin into the catalyst pump drive.
12 Lubricate Nozzle O-rings and Stud O-rings; replace O-rings as necessary.
13 Install Nozzle and Catalyst Tip onto the gun.
THE UNIT IS NOW READY FOR USE (See “Testing & Adjusting Manual”)
