4. Slide one Piston Cups onto the Piston Body with the open side of the Piston Cup facing up.

Slide the Piston Cup Spacer with grooved side up against the Piston Cup. Install the
second Piston Cup up against the Piston Cup Spacer with the open side up. Slide the
Piston Cup Back-Up with grooves facing up against the Piston Cup. Coat the threads of the
Piston Nut with Red Grease, and screw it

onto the Piston Body.






















Note: The UPLS-4600-SS Fluid Section has a Soft Seat / O-ring (O-K-116) that will be
installed into the Piston Body before the 7/8” Ball (reference drawing).

5. Place

7/8” Ball into the Piston Body. Set the Piston Ball Spring (VLS- 4614) into the Piston

Body with the small end of the spring against the

7/8” Ball.


NOTE: Do not drop, dent, or scratch the

7/8” Ball or 1-1/4” Ball.


6. Coat the threads of the Piston Body

,

and screw it onto the Piston Rod. Tighten the Piston

Nut and the Piston Body wrench tight.


7. Slide the Piston Rod up through the Outlet Body and tighten the Packing Nut (VLS-4607)

enough to hold the Piston Rod in place.


Note: The UPLS-4600-SS Fluid Section has a Soft Seat / O-ring (O-K-122) that will be
installed into the Foot Valve before the 1-

1/4” Ball (reference drawing).


8. Install 1-

1/4” Ball, then the

Foot Valve

Ball Spring (VLS-4621) into the Foot Valve.

Compress the Ball Stop (VLS-4620) and insert it into the Foot Valve groove. Position one
end of the Cylinder into the Foot Valve. Slide O-Rings on cylinder and lubricate with Red
Grease.
