To change the locations for beginning acquisition within batches

in a multi-batch:

1. From the microtiter plate representation on the Multi-Batch

Setup dialog box, add a batch to the multi-batch. The batch
appears with red lines at the top of the first well and at the
bottom of the last well.

2. Add a second batch to the multi-batch. The second batch appears

in the next available empty well.

Assign Dilution

Factors to

Samples

Samples may need dilution to fall within the assay kit’s dynamic
range. You need to indicate the sample dilution factor so the sample
analysis in quantitative tests is accurate. The system multiplies the
result by the dilution factor for reporting. You assign dilution
factors as you create a batch.
Do not use dilution factors for
qualitative testing.

‹

To assign dilution factors:

1. Click New Batch. An Open Template dialog box appears.

2. Select the template that uses the product for which you are

assigning a dilution factor and click Open. A Luminex Batch
Setup dialog box appears.

3. Scroll down the template command list to the item that uses the

dilution factor that you are changing.

4. Click the Dilution Factor field, which is white to indicate that

you can enter text into the field.

5. Enter the dilution factor used if the factor is other than 1. Enter

each dilution factor as a decimal, not as a ratio.

6. Click Finish. The system saves the changes you made.

Start a Plate

The start plate command begins the acquisition process. During
acquisition, the instrument takes up sample from the microtiter plate
and processes it.

‹

To start acquiring data from sample:

1. Check the Sample Probe vertical height adjustment and adjust as

needed.

2. Create or open the batch that you want to process.
