Starter Motor Heat Shield #3678
Installation Instructions
Heat Shield installation may be completed without removing the starter from vehicle if there is adequate clearance
inside engine compartment.
1. Disconnect “Negative” battery cable before beginning installation.
2. Loosen both outside/inside solenoid bolt (do not remove).
3. Loosen upper front starter cover bolt and install heat shield.
4. Remove inside and outside solenoid bolts. Rotate heat shield into position and re-stall bolts.
5. Tighten all bolts mounting securely.
6. Reconnect “Negative” battery cable.
CAUTION: Be sure starter wires do not rub against Heat Shield, Engine Block or Cylinder Head.
