ULTRA™ THERMOMETER ACCURACY
Ultra™ thermometers are tested at selected test
points to be within tighter than normal toler-
ances to assist in providing improved accuracy.
Other points will not necessarily fall within the
same accuracy as those found at the selected
test points, but will be within an accuracy of ±1°
between –20.0 and 100.0°C.

OPERATION

eter on.

2. Press the “°F/°C” button to toggle between dis-

playing the temperature in Fahrenheit and
in Celsius.

3. Remove the thermometer from the protective

plastic sleeve and insert the probe into the mate-
rial to be measured.

ALL OPERATIONAL DIFFICULTIES
If this unit does not function properly for any reason,
replace the battery with a new high-quality battery
(see “Battery Replacement” section). Low battery
power can occasionally cause any number of “ap-
parent” operational difficulties. Replacing the battery
with a new fresh battery will solve most difficulties.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Erratic readings, a faint display, or no display are
all indicators that the battery must be replaced.
Remove the battery cap by turning ¼ turn counter
clockwise. Replace exhausted battery with a new
1.5 volt battery. Make certain that positive (+) side
is face up. Replace battery cap. Do not overtighten
the cap. Replacement battery Cat. No. 1039.
