What to do when…

The whistling noise when spinning may be different to
your prevous washing machine which is due to the
modern drive system.

Trouble Shooting

If you call out an engineer and the fault is listed here, a charge is levied
even if the appliance is in guarantee.

• If the error code (1, (2 or (d is displayed in the multi-display, check

the troubleshooting guide below before calling an engineer.
After eliminating the error, press the START/PAUSE button. If the
error code is displayed again, please contact your local AEG Service
Force Centre

• For all other errors displayed in the multi-display, please contact your

local AEG Service Force Centre, stating the error code.

Malfunction

Possible Cause

Remedy

Washing machine does
not work.

Mains plug is not plugged in. Insert mains plug.

House fuse is defective.

Replace fuse.

Door is not closed properly.

Close door; lock must engage
audibly.

START/PAUSE button not
pressed for long enough.

Keep START/PAUSE button
pressed until the program
starts.

No water flows in.

Error code

appears.

Tap is closed.

Open tap.

Filter in the threaded fitting
on the water inlet hose is
blocked.

Unscrew the hose from the
tap, remove the filter and
clean under running water.

Error code

appears

Door is probably not closed
properly.

Close the door again. Press
the door firmly in the area of
the lock.
