RECEIVING
A.

When moving and storing truck leveler platforms, be aware of
components hanging below bottom. Damage can occur by fork
or by setting units on ground without 8" shim blocks.

B.

Verify that the received parts match the packing slip.

III.

INSTALLATION
A.

Weld trunnion hinge weldment to imbed channel as shown in
drawing SMTLIGAF.

B.

Position truck leveler in front of dock as shown on SMTLIGAF by
lifting at the four corners of the platform.

C.

While lifting the free end, position the cylinder base weldments
shown on SMTLIGAF so that the hydraulic cylinder is vertical
when the leveler is in the lowest position. Mark the hole
locations, lift the truck leveler up, and secure each base with
three 5/8" concrete anchors.

D.

Install the hydraulic power unit in an appropriate place with
enough room for maintenance, ventilation, and proper noise
reduction.

E.

Connect hoses from hydraulic power unit to the truck levelers
through the PVC pipes.

F.

Install electrical control boxes.

G.

Connect field wiring as indicated on electrical diagrams.

H.

Test Unit.

I.

Attach toe guards to drive.

IV.

MAINTENANCE
A.

Once a year or 4,000 hours, the hydraulic fluid and return filter
(10 micron) should be replaced.
1.

Replacement of oil - the reservoir (10 gallon) should be
filled to the midpoint on the oil level indicator with a high
grade hydraulic oil. Additional oil may be needed after
start-up. (NOTE: the oil must always cover the pump
intake to prevent air entering the system. Maximum
operating temperature is 140 degrees F).
