Arctic Cat Seat Wedge

Installation Instructions for 51060

Fits ZR, ZL, Z, ZRT AND MOUNTIAN CAT

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY PRIOR TO INSTALLATION

1. Through the rear storage compartment of the OEM seat access and remove the two

factory nuts and washers that secure the seat. (save washers for later use)

2. Remove four screws holding down the shroud around the steering post and also the small

dash panel. (Figure 1)

3. Locate the six pre-drilled holes in the bottom of the seat wedge. Using a pencil, lightly mark

the location of the six holes on the side of the seat wedge.

4. Slide the seat wedge into place by lifting the seat/gas tank assembly. On the side of the

tunnel, mark a line that matches up with the lines drawn earlier on the sides of the seat
wedge (Figure 2). NOTE: The seat wedge does not align perfectly with the seat and
tunnel when installed on a sled with a 121” track. (Figure 2)

5. Once the lines are marked on the tunnel, remove the seat wedge from the machine.
6. Lift the seat/gas tank and unplug the tail light wire. Be caution when moving the seat/gas

tank as to not damage the fuel line.

7. Gently pull the seat/gas tank towards the back of the sled to get access to the top of the

tunnel. Now the seat can be moved to access the tunnel. NOTE: For easier access to the
tunnel, remove the gas line so the seat/gas tank can be removed completely from the sled.

8. Using the supplied template, align the marks drawn on the side of the tunnel with the

lines on the template (Figure 3). Be sure to center the template on the tunnel.

9. Using a punch, mark the holes location on the tunnel as indicated on the template. Do this

for all six holes.

10. Drill the six marked locations with a ¼” drill bit. Be careful not to drill to deep and

puncher the track.

NOTE: If installing on a short track, use the template to drill a 1” hole on top of the seat
wedge as shown in (Figure 4). Then drill a second 1” hole as shown in (Figure 5) to install
the tail light wires.
11. Slide the seat/gas tank and Seat Wedge into place and line it up to the marks you drew in

step 5. Make sure that the tail light wiring harness is routed through the holes(short track
only), plugged in and tucked inside the wiring harness channel.

12. Remove the four rear suspension bolts (Circled in Figure 6) and lift the back of the sled

enough to get access to the underside of the tunnel (Figure 6).

13. Secure the Seat Wedge to the tunnel using the six # 10 x 3/4” Torx screws with #10

washer from underneath the tunnel. Helpful hint: It is best to install the two front Torx
screws first and then the two rear Torx screws. Only partially tighten screws until all
