Retrofit LED module
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. The retrofit LED is designed to function with 120VAC input or
an inline diode. For other input voltages, please contact fac-
tory.
2. Before wiring equipment to power supply, turn off power at fuse
or circuit breaker.
3. All servicing should be performed by qualified personnel.
4. Consult your local building and electrical codes for approved
wiring and installation.
5. Do not use outdoors.
6. Do not allow power supply cords to touch hot surfaces.
7. Do not mount near gas or electric heaters
8. The use of accessory equipment not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition.
9. Do not use this equipment for other than intended use.
10. The LED module does not require grounding. The fixture in
which it is mounted should be grounded to avoid electrical
shock.
11. Install only in exit signs with non-combustible material.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Installation Instructions
1. Cut AC power to unit.
2. Remove exit faceplate and / or backplate.
3. Remove the AC bulbs from fixture (Fig.1). Do not remove DC
bulb (Caution: Bulbs may be hot).
4. To attach module to sign:
a. remove protective tape from bottom of LED module.
b. center module on bottom of frame and press down to
secure.
5. To connect to AC power:
a. disconnect pigtail at inline connector
b. screw pigtail into left or right AC socket.
c. put socket cap into remaining AC socket
d. reconnect inline connector.
6. Replacement of diffuser panel :
a. remove original diffuser from faceplate
b. using original diffuser as a template determine if new dif-
fuser panel needs to be trimmed
c. Mount or tape the new diffuser to the backside of the face-
plate
7. Secure pigtail lead with cable tie provided.
8. Turn on AC power (if the mini wedge does not light then
reverse the male inline connectors).
9. Replace faceplate and/or backplate.
