SMG110 Sound Masking Generator w/10 Watt Amplifier
The SMG110 is an easy to install, complete solution for masking applications in office
environments. It uses 120VAC power; it has a 10 Watt audio amplifier on board; and it
installs into a standard single gang electrical box. It can truly provide voice privacy at a
very affordable cost.
Pre-Installation: You will need a single gang electrical box mounted in the wall with
120VAC power wiring running to it. You will also need to run the two wires from your
speaker to the box. (Note: You can wire the SMG110 through the light switch for
switching the masking on and off dependent on occupancy in the room.)
Installation: Make sure that the switch on the side of the SMG110 is in the off position.
Using the enclosed wire nuts, hook-up power via the black, white and green wires, and
then your speaker via the red and gray wires. The speaker positive is red, and the
negative is gray. Next mount the SMG110 into the single gang box with the enclosed
screws. Once it is mounted in the box, turn on the SMG110 and you should hear the soft
pink noise through your speaker. Now you can adjust the gain using a screwdriver on the
small multi-turn pot next to the on/off switch. Once you have the gain adjusted to the
preferred level, you can attach the cover plate and your done.
